Hi dear 5D,
Being the candidates for the last HKCEE, you are doomed to be special ! So are you ready for the historic moment ? As we all know, you got no way out but do your best !
Here, I'd like all of you to tell me both your short-term and long-term plans. Tell me your worries and pressure if you got any ! Above all, ask yourself the following questions :
What would I do/be if I failed to get a pass to F.6 (let say 12 or 16)?
What should/can I do if I want to get a pass to F.6 (19 or above)?
What am I going to do in the coming 5 months ? Have I got any good plan or am I going to school as usual ?
Please share your words here and don't forget to indicate your name and class number at the top of your writing.

ReplyDeleteIf i have time in the coming 5 months, obviously i need to increase my language level as I still cannot speak fluently when talking in english in front of people. Secondly, I need to get more vocab to use because i was too naughty and did not listen to miss mok when i was in F.1~2. I know that i can now only present my idea in simple words.
If i got marks below 12, u will certainly read the news that a HKCEE candidate commit suicide XD. It is really unacceptable i think, my native intelligence is not bad at all and i think i must at least get 18 orelse my life will be ruin.
If i can pass to F.6 in wsc, of cuz i will let myself relax and then start to be crazy in study especially in pure mathz. People are always saying the pure mathz is really difficult to understand and also chem. although it may be the hardest time in the study road, i can enjoy my university life=]. there will be more free time for me to really enjoy life. i can have time to practise my piano skill, to read books i like, to search information i interested in. thus, i must work hard for the super relax time i will have=]]
cm here also xd
Hi Sam,
ReplyDeleteYou're perfectly right that you're paving way for a brighter future ! You'll be more determined when you think about the "relaxing moments" you'll have sooner or later !
Yet, Sam, even kidding won't be appreciated - giving up oneself isn't even the last resort (it shouldn't be a choice !), especially when you think of your parents and the numerous opportunities you'll have in the future !! So be positive and work for your dreams !

Hi Miss Joe Chan:
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, 18 is the minimum i can accept. I rather being not in the world than being a stupid xd. Yes, it may be such an extreme thinking, but i would like to be a useful human in the world. Otherwise, i will lose all my target and muddle along in the remaining life.

ReplyDeleteSeeing that the time is passing fast, I become more nervous of the coming exam.
If I failed to get a pass to f.6, I’m sure that I’ll be so unhappy and disappointed on myself. I believe that I can hardly do anything at that time because of the getting such a bad result. ( I hope it won’t happen to me XD) I think I’ll stay at home for a long time and take a break, get recover from the unhappiness. After that, I may find another way to continue my study.
To continue my study in WSC, I should definitely work harder in the following days. There are lots of works waiting for me in the coming five months! It will be a really hard and busy time for study. However, after working hard for a long time, there is a long holiday after the exam, it is a good time to take a rest and release from the high pressure. I hope I’ll get a good result in the public exam and have a great holiday afterwards.
Dear Sam,
ReplyDeleteHow do people define what "useful" means ? I do believe it doesn't refer to a person's education background only ! "Every cloud has a silver lining." Many of my friends and past students are USEFUL and successful in their fields, even though they are not university graduates. On the other hand, it's well-known that so many so-called educated people are disappointing !
You should of course try your best but remember the HKCEE isn't really everything in your life.
Hi Fiona,
ReplyDeleteI always tell my students that it's really a wonderful deal as 5 months' effort = 3 months' holiday and a brighter future. And your attitude is also worth sharing - even getting unsatisfactory results, take a break, think of your future plan then start over again as you're all very young !
Miss Joe Chan:
ReplyDeletehaha, maybe you are right, but it will be such a hard life if i get lose in HKCEE. Yes, without HKCEE result, some may still enjoy their lifes. In my condition, I not only stand the pressure from my huge famile[i have a huge family including some in main also], but also my parents' friends. Their son or daughter are also in Form.5 , but their results are much better than me!! In chinese, we said''人比人,比死人''. Now, I am facing the kind of competition/3\

ReplyDeleteIf i failed to get a pass in CE, i think i will get depressed cause i don't think this will happen. But we still need to face the truth.i will try and find a path to continue on study.
If i pass, i will work much harder than nowadays because i am still lazy.i have heard a lot of F.6 said F6.7 is hard.i don't think attitude for F4.5 can cope with F6.7.i would also want to learn one more language(French i think if i really do).
For the following monthes, i will try to stay at school after lessons because i found myself not concentrated enough at home.i hope i can also make a plan for doing Past Paper. One of my friend told my that i should do Past paper more than once.although i think it is quite difficult , i will try.
tse ho yan (15)
ReplyDeleteIf somebody just got 12 in the CE exam, maybe the real question should be " what else can i do if i failed to get a pass to F.6” instead of “What would I do if I failed to get a pass to F.6". Because in this competitive society, if you got only 12, I really don’t know what you could do. I am sure my future won’t be decided by myself anymore if this matter happened to me and i could only be so depressed and hopeless.(I hope that won’t happen to me! TOUCH WOOD!)
Therefore, in order to decide my future, I will work harder and be more persevering (such a dull answer, but I can’t think of another better answer XP) in the coming 5 months, I will set some short-term targets gradually such as doing more exercise in particular some terrible subjects, beginning to do the past paper, revising all those we’ve learnt in the past years( I forgot a lot! Oops…. ><), and doing things with a faster pace! Since I am like a pig, I need to sleep for a long time, otherwise I will forget things very very quickly. Working quicker may grab more sleeping time!
after all , I just hope I can be more determine and have more courage when I am facing difficulties. Sometimes, what you reap may not be what you sow. And I am not a good student, I try to flee every difficulty. In the coming month, I hope I could have more courage to crawl from collapse, unload all my burdens and turn them to be motivation and fulfill my promises to myself.
“ all of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” I doubt that, but I hope so. HAHA ^^
Choi Mei Ting(7)
ReplyDeleteIf I failed to get a pass to F.6, of course I would feel very depressed and I am sure I couldn’t get out from the despair in a short time. Although my parents might comfort me that HKCEE was just a little obstacle in my life, I would still feel sorry for them, and myself. My future would seem to fill with gloom. In HK, in this busy and crazy city, if I only got 12, I really didn’t know what I could do, though I would try my best to find another way to continue my study.
To never let this happen, I would work much harder. I would try my best to complete all the things you and the other teachers ask me to do. I would ask if I have something I don’t understand. (Though I had always asked questions in the last year XP) After finishing all these basic things, I would spend time on doing past paper and practicing more. At least, I think I should have revised all the subjects before the Mock Test.
During the coming 5 months, the things I want to improve most are my pace and speaking. The thing I want most is sleeping. I hope I can make a good balance on both study and sleeping so that I won’t catnap in the lessons anymore! (Maybe you have already notice it, haven’t you?)
However dull the answer is, it is the only answer that can lead to success.

ReplyDeleteI am really worried about HKCEE. Expecially in English and Chinese.
If I failed to get a pass to F.6, I don't know what can I do. However, I think I will get a pass to F.6 in other school or go to stuy ive.(I think I should have enough mark to stuy F.6 in other school)
If I want to get a pass to F.6, I think the only one I can do is work harder. I don't think I can get a pass to F.6 without word hard.
Actually, I do not have any good plan now but I will try to plan a good plan just now.
For the following 5 months, I hope I can improve my English to a better level. -.-I hope I can get level 4 in English. Maybe it can be realize.haha!!
I will come to write comments again if I am free.XD Goodbye!!
Chan Man Fong(2)
ReplyDeleteSince the HKCEE has been closer and closer, I start becoming more and more nervous. After my F.5 life has started, I feel that I was suffocated under the pressure of failing to stay at wsc in F.6. It is hard not to be nervous as I have not even try my best in F.4. I am afraid my laziness in F.4 will greatly affect my HKCEE result.
Therefore, in order to get a pass to F.6(of course I would like to get better result), I need to work much harder than F.4. I think my weakest part is the foundation of vocabulary. I need to learn more vocabularies in the following few months.
I know that for the last HKCEE, the competition is tense and hard. So in the following months, I need to read newspaper everyday in order to improve my vocabularies and my comprehension skills. I hope this could help improving my English result.

ReplyDeleteHi Miss Chan
I am happy to see you in the site. I had worried my study result since last year.Because of my father&mother are working in Japan,I don't have too much time to talk with them. By the way, I want to talk with them more. At this year, They only focus on my result and punish me. I know that they love me so that they punish me. I think i get a huge pressure that i have never seen before. My sister also studyand live in Japan. Her result is quite good. She can get the scholarship from her university. I know that i am lazy. I hope i can do it like my sister. But the first step is sucess in HKCEE . (our book name? haha)
I really weak in English. I want my English will be better so i do more work for example Paper1 reading than last year. I hope my English and Chinese will be better . I don't want to see an American then i run away as soon as possible. This is the truth!! i really want to talk to an American and know all his words. hope to do it, i always speak more in oral lesson because we have fewer chance speaking in English. Oral is very important. I need more practice so i don't want to lose the chance of speaking.
If i go to HKCEE this time, I will be dead as i have not study well now. In studying, i also don't want to lose the chance to study. If I failed to get a pass to F.6, i think i will be sad . I will do a heart-searching for myself. Secondly , i will regret of my exertion. Am i lazy ? I also has been though that I failed to get a pass to F.6 before. I will go to the other country to finish my study. For example Australia and America. My dad has talk this problem to me before. I also think study is important so that I will go to the other country if I failed to get a pass to F.6.
In fact, I want want want want to get a pass to F.6 . I think i should work very hard now!! i am not a clever boy If i don't study now, i should in what time! After a year? More focus on the lesson in all subject. (PE also need la! haha) Chow wing Hung needs to raise and prove myself!!
I have plan to study. I hope i can did it as my planning. i see your point Joe! 5 months' effort = 3 months' holiday and a brighter future. It's all my thinking haha! i want to play after HKCEE so i need to study now! In future, i really want to be a teacher! Really! i want to teach the other and the other know it after my teaching. I will be very happy haha I don"t want only talk. Action speaks louder than words (last year learn hehe) i want to prove myself. Thank you for your reading. It is a bit long. i think too many to say haha HKCEE! I am ready.I am coming!
Wong Ching Yu (18)
ReplyDeleteIt is really good for us to have a chance to share our concerns here as we are all having the same challenge. For me, it is still an unknown for “what would I do if I failed to get a pass to F.6” It is because I MAY go on studying in other countries (say UK or USA, etc.). It depends on my results and the financial condition my family will be facing. This is what I am worrying about. If I could not get a good result to go to F.6 and my family are not able to support me to study in overseas, I don’t really know what should I do /_\. Maybe I would continue studying in other ways.
On the other hand, if I can get 19 or above (it is actually impossible), I would like to study in HK if I could get into a good secondary school. I believe it is better to go on studying in HK because the syllabus is well fitted. Also, it is easier as I don’t have to accommodate another condition. Even though I could not get a place of F.6 in WSC, I believe this result would be enough to get into other schools so I think I should set it as the minimum mark that I should get.
For the coming 5 months, it is a competition with time. Doing past papers and quizzes are what we have to do. Besides, I’d plan something to do XD… I hope we can work together and be well-prepared for the HKCEE!
leung cheuk san (35)
ReplyDeleteI am worried about the English result in HKCEE because it is difficult for me to remember the grammar skills. If I have enough marks to study F.6, I would go to other school because there are only pure maths and biology I can choose. I am studying CIT now, it means that I can’t choose biology in F.6; also I think pure maths is too difficult for me. I might go to some schools which have CIT in F.6 to continue my studying.
If I failed to get a pass to F.6, I would try to get a
ReplyDeleteacademic degree for IVE, but there was a difficulty to have
a subject I like or want or a suitable subject to study as
the competition would be extremely tough this year.
Another possible choose is to study overseas,
especially Canada, which is my birthplace, will possess a
better welfare(i.e. education),I guess.However, the main
problem is that my family do not have enough money to send
me to overseas.
If I can get a pass to F.6,surely I would finish my
degree in other secondary school, even it is a Band 3
school.(I don't think I could study in WSC in F.6)
My short plan is finishing the content I have studied
when I was F.4,especially biology and physics,by the end
of the Christmas holiday.
I will also try to improve my English by listening
English (TV) channel:english news report, which the reports
talk in a formal English.Reading the articles in SCMP can
also expend my field on social issues.
Chan Kit Lam (1)
ReplyDeleteHi,Miss chan =)
If i failed to get a pass in HKCEE, i think i would not study in IVE. I will go to another school to finish F.6 and F.7 and face to the A level.
If i get a pass in HKCEE, i will work extremely hard to prepare my A level to get in the university and make sure i have no regret.
I think i should improve my language skill in the coming 5 months. I am too nervous to speak english in front of people. I always laugh and look at the air. Eye contact is not enough and i cannot speak english fluently.I really need to practice more and more. The other thing i should improve is vocabularies.I have lack of vocab in my mind. Vocabulary is my weakest part in english.I also need to learn how to not to write too straightforward in my composition. When i want to talk about something,i can only write one or two sentences to discribe it. These are all my weakness. In the following months, i really need to work much harder in these parts, for example, read more books in my spare time.I think reading is an effective way to solve my problems.

Hi Miss Joe Chan,
ReplyDeleteSince HKCEE is coming soon, I can feel a disaster is getting closer. The road I can see is becoming blurrier and blurrier. I can't imagine what the world would be if I fail to get a pass to F.6.Those who failed to get a pass to F.6 are called failures at best.At worst, they are said to be rubbish. Will there a large amount of rubbish being thrown into the society at that moment? I really don't want to be part of them because I would like to be a useful human rather than a rubbish. I’m trying my best to improve my attitude towards studying without fail because I have to get a pass to F.6 as well as a pass to university. I cannot get any mistakes in the following time. There is no time for me to waste. Rising from the trough to the crest is my foremost target. It's grateful of you to set this web site for me to set the target.Thx you a lot.
After reading your ,Miss Chan's, question , I think these questions are
ReplyDeletequite difficult to answer.
What would I do/be if I failed to get a pass to F.6 (let say 12 or 16)?
I have never thought this question , maybe I need to think this later.
Why?Have you ever heard a Chinese idiom "goal-line stand(背水一戰)"?
Now , in fact, our time is not really enough for a good preparation of
HKCEE. But I think that we don't need to be over-worried about the result.
We must try our best (not breast). This sentence is easily to be say but
difficult to be done.
For "What should/can I do if I want to get a pass to F.6 (19 or above)? "
I am the Cit Group so I must get 24 or above to get in F.6 P.maths Group.
'24' is a 'large' number for me. I can not make a plan because it is not
another idea better than WORKing HARD.
About "What am I going to do in the coming 5 months ? Have I got any good
plan or am I going to school as usual ?"
My plan only included three sentences "Do not give up or you will NEVER
succeed.","Learn from (one's) mistakes." and Attitude is a little thing
that make a BIG difference."
If I can do this three sentences, i think this is the best plan for me.
Therefore, i hope both of us can do the same thing.

ReplyDeletehi Miss Joe Chan,
This is my first time to post my comment here. My school life become so hard since i were F.5. i am scared about the HKCEE, especially my chinese and english. If I really failed to get a pass to F.6, i think i will study in IVE. If i want to get a pass to F.6 , I should study hard and play less games. Also, i should practise more in english. What I am going to do in the coming 5 months is paying full attention on the lesson, especially english lesson.
Chow Tsz Wing (8)
ReplyDeleteToday is 29th September already. It means that there are only five months left before the HKCEE starts. How horrible it is! If I failed to get a pass to F.6, I will be very nervous because of the problem of my future. After being nervous, I will start to go to other school to find a chance to study F.6. Although it is very difficult for us to adapt a new school life, we don’t anymore choices. If my quality even can’t attain to study in other schools, I think I will try to study IVE. On the other hand, if I can get a pass to F.6, I will treasure the chance of studying and try to get a very good result in A-level. I will also try to participant in different activities, for example SA. My wishes are broad and long-ranged. However, how can I realize them? If I want to get a pass to F.6, I will work hard and spend most of my time to study. In the coming 5 months, I will first study all my text books and exercises. Then start to do the past paper in October. Last year, my results were the worst in my whole life. Now I am trying to work hard, I hope this can change the results I got last year and get a good result in HKCEE.

ReplyDeleteHi,Miss Chan! Haha=)
HKCEE is coming soon, I have to prepare well for it. Being the candidates for the last HKCEE, I feel special but fearful. It is because I have only one chance. If I failed to get a pass to f.6,my future would become very hard! I would not go to find a job immediately. I would find some courses to learn more things.
Hoping to get a pass to f.6, I should work hard in the coming 5 months. I should not only read more but also do more exercise. The more I do, the more I achieve. I know that my grammar is very poor but how can I improve? I think read more books could help. However, I don’t like reading books! The other problem is speaking, I am not good at speak in English. I feel a bit nervous and my speed is slow when compare with others.
Although I have not enough confidence to get a good result in HKCEE, I will put my all effort in studies and work hard. I do not want do feel any regret! I hope I can get success in HKCEE! Ha
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteEven being forced by Ms Joe Chan, you all did a good job ! It's nice to see many of you are actually ready/getting ready ...
Alan, it's really important to find a good place for you to concentrate. I used to go to the self-study centre when I was working for the HKCEE and HKALE and it turned out to be one of my smartest decisions !
Ho Ho, being the one who sometimes make unforgettable and silly mistakes, you should try to identify your own weaknesses and deal with them one by one, instead of working hard without any solid focus !
Mei Ting, you're absolutely right that pace is also what I worry about you ! Time management could be disasterous so practise more in the coming months ! Of course, certain relaxation and a good balance are essential to you...I remember I used to go to watch movies and play table-tennis even during the HKCEE !
Ka Ho, glad to see that you are going to make a good plan...and now, have you started ? Never wait for tomorrow ...
Man Fong, talking about vocabulary, have you tried my suggestions -- Brainstorming and Spider-web ? They really worked well to me and hope they can help you too !
Wing Hung, it's not easy to make a great leap in a short period of time so you should be more exam-oriented ! You can find out your own problems and weaknesses and work on them...do more practices and past papers and try the ways we have been discussing...be more active in learning and improving your results !!!
Ching Yu, first I can't see why you think getting a place in WSC is impossible...Anyway, what I can see is you're really working hard now. Try to be more specific and flexible while preparing for your exams !
Sun Sun, thanks for sharing your worries with me but...have you got any solid plan or have you identified your weaknesses already ?
Joycelyn, your plans are of course good if you can keep doing them consistently. Yet, can you be a bit more exam-oriented at the same time so your exam skills can also be polished ?
Kit Lam, like some of your classmates, you know you have to start working to improve your academic performances but have you started working on any plans ?
Tsz Chun, it's silly to think that failing in the HKCEE=Rubbish ! You'll only be blamed if you don't try your best !! Anyway, have you got any plans or are you doing something specially for the exams ?
Wai Cheong, don't you think your "idiomatic" plans/approach are a bit too vague ? Can you share with us some of your solid plans and exam targets ?
Simon, besides the "grand" promises like paying attention in the class and working hard, you'd better try to work on your exam skills and start memorising more useful skills/rules/notes ! Rome wasn't bulit in one day !
Tsz Wing, let me tell you a secret : I felt surprised when I first got to know that your academic results were not that good ! Yet, reading your works and even watching your presentations, I still believe that you're capable of doing much better ! Have you found out the underlying problems ? Work harder and try to identify your weaknesses and get rid of them !!
Jessie, looking at you, I still remember how annoying and silly you were when you were in F.3 ! You've been improving a lot but there's still room for improvement ! You need to concentrate more both at school and at home ! Do more practices and be more exam-oriented while preparing for your exams !
Love,
Ms Joe Chan (with sore fingers and a stiff neck)

ReplyDeleteI become more and more nervous since the remaining time bocomes shorter and shorter.I would be so sad if I failed to get a pass to F.6. I would like to continue studying in other school if any school can let me in. Studying at other school would cause a lot of problems. I have tried to do my best in a variety of methods, such as shorten the time for entertainment, doing a lot of exercises to know more, paying all the attention on the books during the lessons and so on. I have planned what to do after school. I hope I can follow my timetable well acnd can sleep before eleven o'clock.

ReplyDeleteI think I don't have any solid plan now. I think I should set up the plan for my further life because perfect plan equals perfect life. I might go to study some courses to improve myself if I didn’t have enough marks to study F.6. I know that my weakness is laziness, I always wasting my time on playing games. I should work harder in order to fight with HKCEE.
if I failed to get a pass to F.6 (let say 12 or 16),I will be so upset and down that I can not do the captain of Green House with my Best Friend!!.Er... Then, I’ll find other schools such as some band 3 schools or IVE to continue my studies.Or otherwise, just find a simple job~~
ReplyDeleteif I want to get a pass to F.6 (19 or above),from now on, I’ll be more and more and more and more hard-working.Er...
in the coming 5 months, I’ll spend more time on studying and don’t play any computer and NDS and stop talking phone as possible as i can.Er....On the other hand, i must finish all my past papers during this 5 months!Doing past paper is important and effective for us to take good results in our HKCEE. 口合口合!Er..
Li Kin Hung (37)
ReplyDeleteIf I score less than 12 in the HKCEE, I would definitely feel frustrated for quite a long time. And then I would probably continue my study in another school and study even harder.
If I get a pass to F.6, I would like to choose pure maths instead of biology. I would spend more time on study and handle with it more seriously because my elder brother always emphasize to me that a-level is 10 times more difficult than CE exam.
And for the following several months, I would do pastpaper on different subjects and try to go to a self study room to enhance my working efficiency. I’ll try my best to fight for a better future.
Mak Wai On (38)~_~
ReplyDeleteIf I failed to get a pass to F.6,I do not know what can I do.Maybe I will go to find another way to continue my study. In order get a pass on the HKCEE(19 or above), I would try my best to understand all the topic. Also,I always go to the self-study room at the weekend. In the coming 5 months,I would do the past paper in order to strength my memory. At the same time,I would play basketball on Friday or PE lesson only.IT is because I should make good use of time and do more past paper. It is my plan for HKCEE.

ReplyDeleteHi Miss Joe Chan,
It is really difficult questions. If I failed to get a pass to F.6 in WSC, I would study F.6 in other schools. I think that studying F.6 is not only way to have a good future. But I am sure that studying F.6 is a much more convenient way to have a good future, especically in WSC. So I would try my best to get a pass to F.6. If I want to get a pass to F.6, I think I must start to work hard now, especially in Chinese and English. If I can get a pass to F.6, the next target is university. I think it will be a much harder work. It is a long term war. We are only doing ‘pre- war’now.
In the coming 5 months, I will try my best to preview the lessons I am going to learn. I think it will help me to understand the following lessons. And I hope this plan can help me to revise my F.4-5 works earlier.
Hi MS. J0E CHAN,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very colorful, and I have got lots of informations in it. Now, I started to feel nervous and pressure to HKCEE, because it seems to be a hard work for me. It was so discrepant that I have told you I have no pressure!
If I failed my HKCEE exam, I think I will study oversea, Japan or Australia.
For me, to study in Japan will not be a difficult things, because I have learnt Japanese, it will be a piece of cake to communicate with Japanese.
But if I choose to study Australia, it will be painful to me because my English is extremely poor! I have got very few vocabulary. I cannot discribe a thing with different vocab.
I suppose to read more English newspaper and books to improve my poor English.
In the coming months, I will try my best to paying attention in your lesson. I hope I can get 3 grade or more in my HKCEE exam.
Wong Lok Ting (17)
ReplyDeleteIf I fail to get a pass to F6, I think I will very unhappy. I will very regret because I do not try my best. Actually, I don’t know what I can do if I don’t have a higher education level. To continue study at oversea is a good way. However, I would not choose it because it is a burden for my family. Because of 334, we can’t repeat. Therefore, I think IVE is better to me. Learning a skill, although I will not earn a lot of money, it is enough for me to maintain my lives.
However, at this moment I can change the result. I still have my dream! Good result can make my future easier. Therefore, I will work very hard in coming 5 months.

ReplyDeleteIt is happy to see this site!XDDD
In fact I have never thought of anything about failing to get a pass to F.6. As I think it is like giving up at the beginning, I don't want to waste time to think of it, I will to think of something about the other two questions, it seems to me that they are more important and I don't want to have any regret for myself, the supporters and my parents especially.
Knowing that it is such a hard work, I have plenty of things to do to get a pass to F.6. I have to strive against the time, but I am still lazy now, so the first thing I must do is to push myself to work hard. Secondly, I have to concentrate in every lessons, follow the teachers' instruction and most importantly, I have to think a way to defeat the 'SLEEPY DEVIL'. Thirdly, I can do past paper as many as I can owing to the fact that it plays an important role in preparing HKCEE. Forth, I need practice. I still can't speak English fluently in front of the others, therefore I have to practise and practise more to let myself improve. 'Practice makes perfect', right? These are the things I think I can do to get a pass right now. I know there are more that I can do, I hope I can find out soon.
About the third question, the things I am going to in the coming 5 months are those I mention above. As I am a person who can't follow the plan well, so I just want to do the things that I should do or need to do at this moment. I have already thought loads of things I want to do after the HKCEE, I hope to get a pass to F.6 and I want to stand on the stage, getting the graduation certificate in F.7 to show my effort in the past 7 years and my gratitude to the supporters, teachers and the one I love the most - my parents. I an going to work hard and do all the things that I can to make all these things come true.

ReplyDeleteHello,Miss Joe Chan=]
This is Gladys,if i did not have to write this composition,i would not think about the questions above.Everytime i try to think about the HKCEE,i just want to escape from it.I don’t really know what could i do if i failed to come back to WSC.There won’t be many choices for me.Just like my fellow classmates mentioned before, maybe i will study form 6 in other schools.
Of course,i do not really want to go to other schools.i want to come back to study form6.
To be sure that i can get a pass or more, the easiest way is to work harder!!!
Everyone knows it but it is not easy to do.i was quite lazy and wasted lots
of time in the 1st term of form 4.i've started to work as hard as i can since the 2nd term.
i do study what i've learnt before in the summer holiday.
when i come back to school this school year,i feel stressed everyday.there are frustrations everywhere when i come back to school.
i feel OK when i come back but frustrated after school everyday.the most frustrated is that you may not reap what you sow.i've studied hard for a test already but still,i cannot get a "proper" result.i'm not asking for an extremely brilliant, but just an acceptable. This disappoints me so much.
i feel more relaxed now after grumbling so much.HahaXD,it's time to talk about what should i do in the following 5 months.
Doing pastpapers, doing revision everyday and not wasting any time on TV/MSN/facebook...
i do hope that i can have a balance.i know that i won't do well if i'm too worried.
also, ask anyone for help if i don't understand anything...
i feel much better after typing the essay.at least,i have a clear mind what should i do to fight for the HKCEE.
Thanks so much for asking us to think of those questions.it really helps me a lot.it is a way to release my burden, too.

ReplyDeleteI am being afraid of HKCEE, this is a big challenge for all of us. Of cause i hope to pass F.6 in WSC,but i’m worried about my english.
I really afraid my english cannot get level 3 or higher level... beside i aslo worried my chinese because we seldom do practice of reading in F4. I want to improve these two subject and hope i can get enough mark to pass F.6 in WSC.
My target is to pass F.6 in WSC but if i can't i think my best choice is pass F.6 in others school. To achieve my target, work hard is the most effective. I know my english is very poor, i will try hard to read more, speak more and even write more. Actually, i am quite afraid to talk english with others, sometime i can't hear what people walking to me... and then i don't know how answer them. I think that will be a big problem in oral exam, so i hope we can have more chance to talk with classmates.
To be honest, it would definitely be a nightmare if I failed to get a pass to F.6. I can only be successful just like I've put all the eggs into one basket. That's why I had started to work like a machine since I was in F.4. Everyday when the bell rang, I would undoubtedly be the one who was the tastest to rush out of the school and went to the public library. Hopefully, my academic result had been improved a lot at the end of the year. The fact can truly reflect the harder we work, the more we reward.
ReplyDeleteFor this year, I do hope I can keep my passion on studies and work harder than before. Unexpectedly and unluckily, if I failed to get pass (Anyway I will never make it happen!), I might attend some associated convses which can connect to the university in the tutive or I might try to knock another school' doors.
On the contrary, I will be totally relieved, if I can get a pass. Of course, I will stay in WSC and contiute my studies as Mr Wan will probably be my class teacher again in F.6. (actually, it is also one of the factors which pushes me work harder! HAHA!) In order to achieve my goal, I will pay all the efforts to focus/concentrate on my revison with as fewer entertainment as possible. But time limit has become one of my biggest challenges because it seems that twenty-four hours are not enough for me.
Asking a group of friends to study together would be a considerable idea so that we can support and encourage each other all the time. I can also reduce the risks of abandon.
For me, however harsh/tough the HKCEE is, it is at most importance to have determination and peristence in my mind. On the following days, I would force myself to read more articles in SCMP so as strengthen my vocablary and grammer.

ReplyDeleteHi, Ms. Chan. =)
In order to get a pass to F.6, I must work harder. Because I was very lazy before, i did not build a good foundation of my science subject in F.4. It is very difficult to catch up all the subjects now. I have already made a plan for revision. I think study F.6 in WSC is better than other school, I love this school very much. The teachers and students in WSC are very nice. I study here for 5 years, I don't want to spend time to accommodate a new environment. I know that my oral skill is not good at all. My vocabulary is not enough. It seems to me I should read more english books or newspaper. The more I read, the more I can learn form it.
If I failed to get a pass to F.6, I think I would study in other school for F.6. I think study is very important, i could get a better future from it. There is no more time to waste, i must study hard right now. I want to get at least 20 marks that I could study F.6 in WSC.
For our bright future, all of us should work hard, work hard, work hard. I hope we can get a good marks in HKCEE. I hope our dreams will come true.
Dear My Miss Chan, :p
ReplyDeleteActually, in the coming 5 months, I will do nothing but working hard. Because I will not let me getting 12 marks of my CE result happen to me. If I really have to imagine this circumstance, I will be lost and disappointed very much. It is hardly to imagine my F6 school life will be. However, I will try my best to have interviews of different school. I know I have to face what I’ve done and be brave to the future.
In order to have no regret after the CE, I will have revision everyday in this coming 5 months. Also, watching TV and using the computer not more than 1 hour even holiday. After that, sleep as early as possible is important for concentrate on my lessons.

ReplyDeleteHello , my dear Joe Chan, I am yannies lam. I feel happy that I can visit your blog. About your three wonderful questions, the following is my response.
If I failed to get a pass to f.6, I would be very sad and disappointed. However, I do not blame anyone, because it is my false. For this reason, I will pick up as soon as possible feelings. If I can not up on the other secondary schools in f.6, I will follow my own interests to find a way out. I will learn more different skills for improving myself, I
don’t find any jobs absolutely in a short period of time. I hope I can change a little bit of my life from the bad result. Of course! I don’t want to have this happen! =D
In my opinion, for the second question, we have a lot of ways to get a pass to f.6.Actually, we must start working hard in summer, I am sorry that I am late. We should pick up feelings, face to the horrible CE. We can’t play anymore, must seriously classes. Do more past papers, exercises! Don’t be lazy! Otherwise, we will certainly regret it.
In the end, I am most afraid of English and Chinese. Because they are the main and the most important subjects. I think I have a plan, but I don’t know can I follow this. Be pleased to know that , I have a lot of effort than ever before. I just want to keep this push until the CE coming. I will do my best in each lessons. Hope to achieve good results in CE! haha, see you next time, my dear JC =]

ReplyDeleteFirst of all,for me I think is a great challenge but i will try my best to face it.Second, if I failed to get a pass to F.6,I will feel unhappy and i don't know how to do at that time.I might be keep on my education at Canada.I need to be more optimistic to think about this view.Third, if I want to get a pass to F.6,I should be more hard-working,also I should do more pastpaper to improve ourself gramar.I going to do more and more pastpaper in the coming 5 months. But now i don't have any good short-termed or long-termed plan.I just think I need to pay more attention at class and be more hard-working.
(+<>+)!!
If I failed to get a pass to F.6 in WSC , I would find another school to continue my study.I prefer studying in WSC thus I must work hard and put great effort. If I can get a pass to F.6, I would work harder and concentrate on my study.
ReplyDeleteAs we know, HKCEE is approaching. In order to get a good result, I must work hard in the coming 5 months. I should have good plan and time management, for instance, I should do plenty of exercises and the HKCEE past papers.

If I failed to get a pass to F.6, I will be very upset. I will go to other school to study F.6 and F.7 (or IVE). Or I may keep on my study in other place. Also having some markup class and have test of the certificate of markup. Anyway, I think I have to study more and more hard than now. In the future months, I don't think I have time to go out for shopping, playing or dating wif friend. Hope that I will not sick in the following months..>3< I will try my best to be in 2010HKCEE.
Sorry for handing the homework late>W< I just back home.....

ReplyDeleteIf you ask me that if i am ready, i will answer you, no. But if you ask me why, may be i can tell the answer on the other way.
When i was in primary, i don't know what i am doing during the English lesson, may be i can be very concentrate in the lesson, but, after the lesson, the only thing that i still remember are vocabs, other things such as grammar will go into the left ear, but also leave from the right ear.
That's why you can find so many terrible mistake on my every writing. How come a student say he is ready that he's grammar is bad like this, and also, his vocal.
May be you will say that i can also learn english from books, i know it that reading books can improve my english from a book, but my main problem is i found that my memory has become worse than before. Last week, i borrowed books from library, after finished 1 book, and i count how much i can still remember, 5-10%, it is unacceptable, i believe the difficult terms involved in the book are not the reason, since i can not even remember some simple things.
May be i am telling too much, and i hate telling people anything about me, even what i am thinking, it also explain why i refused answer your question, may be i got a good answer, but i won't tell the answer because i believe that someone will think it is a joke.
Anyway, this is the end of this comment.
And i apologize for not hand in the work before 9 o'clock, sorry.

ReplyDelete##hi!miss chan!I feel sorry about my journal is late as I cannot go to you site before and I don't know why. I hope you will forgive me=]
##After a school year with you in form four I really learn a lot from you and I hope I can have more confidence in English. Sometimes I find that it's really hard to learn English, especially in grammer and tenses. I may know those well just when I am reading some example. I don't know how to memorize the usage of those with a special way. I think that learning English should be in a interesting way not for a normal studying way. Can you tell me what to do?
##I still feel confused bout mu HKCEE and I don't know what am I supposed to do in the future. The main point that I know is that I must work very hard in the coming 5 months. If I really failed to get a pass th F.6, I think I will find the other school see whether they will accept me, if not I may find something I really interested in and start of something new.
##Obviously, I must work really hard and spend even my spare time for study. The other may say that I should relax myself during study, for example, just take a break. However, I think I don't have enough time even to take a break! I always did all my things at last time so that I don't know how to distribute my time!
##I find that I need to read more English newspaper so as to improve my grammer and writing. It maybe too late for improvement but I ill try my best. I don't want to give up if never try my best. It's my show time-V-''

ReplyDeleteSorry for very very late submitting of this Journal because I could not post any comment here until just now.
I am here for apologizing of late submitting again.
If I fail to get into form 6, I might commit suidice. Haha, That's kidding. Actually, I never thought of this because I don't want to give any reasons for failing in the CE. Giving such a thinking for ourselves seems we are having high probablitiy to leave school. Well, I think I will plan it but not now.
The only thing I can do to get pass is studying. (actually, I can do nth except studying, RIGHT?)A well-planned studying programme doesn't always have a good efficience on me. I try to plan many plans before but I HAVE never done anyone. I might just study freely. This doesn't mean I study whenever I like but I have give myself a period of time to study and study what I want to study.
Maybe I will have tutorial classes of these 7 subjests in the coming 5 months cause my mother is wondering. Well I don't know at all. I will just try to concentrate on my studying. However, I think the first thing to do is to tune well my focus. I usually don't have any focus on studying and all I know is seem studying only. I will get no HEART for studying if I don't have any strong reasons or targets. I think I should try to find it out. RIGHT?

ReplyDeleteIf I failed to get a pass to F.6,i will very worried about for my future, bacause i dont know where i can go.So i will be work to study.
If I want to get a pass to F.6,i must harder than now on ,concentrate on the study, forget computer etc.
In these 5 mouths, i will keep doing the past paper to let meknow more about the HKCEE.Also i will spend 7/10 time to study, play less than now .And i will find some way to let me can concentrate on work
To get a good result,i ave some plan but i think it is not enough,to u have any idea?
by the way, i will try my best to face HKCEE,and i hope can have a good result.

ReplyDeleteHalo Miss Chan Chan =]
First of all i would like to apologize for the delay, coz i got some troubles posting the cm. Orz
im sure u wont blame/punish mine, will u? xd
Anyway, the following are my responses to ur 3 questions.*v*
If i failed to get a pass to F.6 with less than 13, i would probably check if the cert. was really mine at once.(Coz i could not accept such an outcome...) But if i really got such a low mark, i probably could not find any places in F.6 (while i couldnt repeat F.5), so i wouldnt let this happen. XD
If i got a relatively better mark, say 17, i would find a place right away. Whether studying in a band 1 school might not be that important, what i think most important is if i could continue my study. And i would not feel depressed or be pessimistic anyway bcoz i should be fully concentrated on my study and try my best to get into an university.
As CE is approaching, i should grab every moment working hard in order to get a pass to F.6 (though im not sure if i have enough determination or not..). But at least i would force myself to be more industrious and persistent, as i used to give up easily and leave my work half done.
Besides, i should spend less time on entertainment so that more time can be utlized for studying or sleeping.XD
The coming 5 months will be the crucial moment for all of us. Therefore, i will of coz spare no effort studying and revising. Maybe i cant swear to it, but i will urge myself on to study hard and not give up whenever i meet difficulties.
Up to now i got no plan or schedules. A good plan can certainly help me a lot in my study, so maybe its time for me to set one. XD i would also like to set a target as soon as possible and then start working hard on it. >w<
Actually i have become more diligent since the new academic year. When i was in F.4, i seldom did any hw or revisions afterschool or in holidays. But now, at least i do some revisions when i have spare time. It seems to me a good start, and i believe that i could keep it on until CE finishes.=]
Hope that i could get a satisfactory result in my HKCEE. .v.

ReplyDeleteAfter a lot of things that happened last year, I finally reallised that I have to be independent. Only through learning, I could achive success and become an independent person. However, I found great difficulties in languages such as english that I always make grammetically mistakes which a F.5 should not make. Moreover, I felt I could not catch up with my classmate's vocabulary that I could always see them use advanced vocab which I haven't seen before. I want (actually is I need to) get a better result in the HKCEE but what should I do in order not to fall behind in the class?
